The Western New York Mountain Biking Association (WNYMBA) and Holiday Valley have a Master Plan to update the trail system at Holiday Valley. The new plan will put about 7 miles of mountain bike trails on Holiday Valley's property. Our goal is to make the trail system at the resort more user friendly for a variety of riders, novice riders right through expert riders. Bell Helmets is giving away $33,000. We applied for a grant through Bell Helmets a few months back and out of 100 applicants we are in the final four. THE ONLY WAY WE WIN IS TO GET THE MOST VOTES. The first trail in this new plan to complete is a 2 mile long FLOW TRAIL that starts at Spruce Lake and ends at the ski lodge down below. The new FLOW TRAIL we be mostly downhill.
The $33,000 giving away by Bell Helmets pays a contractor branch of the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) to come and build the trails for us. The contractor branch is called IMBA Trail Solutions. This means the trail will be perfectly built. Also, Holiday Valley has agreed to put in additional funds to complete the project when the grant money runs out! More great news... Holiday Valley will keep these trails free to ride!
